Cath Kidston Prints

Lovely Cath Kidston wallpapers that would look lovely in your home.

Lisa Stickley

Someone to look out for is Lisa Stickley, she is the next Cath Kidston.
Her patterns and products are limited but change from season to season. They are wonderful and are inspired by different eras.
She has a lovely stationery collection and has some beautiful tea towels.

Ballet

2011 Trend
Fashion, Photography, Black Swan (Film), V&A Ballet Russes Exhibition.
Erdem and David Koma SS 2011, incorporates the Ballet trend.

The Narrative

The feel of the images creates a narrative and story just through the way they are both looking away from the camera.

Vintage Lace

Lace and fairytale are going to be wonderfully used again. The use of lace in both garments are interesting and create new dimensions and textures to the outfits. The photography is captivating especially shadows and lighting in the image on the right.

Ballet Bun

Ballet buns are on the rise and I love them. Feminine, lovely and practical.

Styling

I love the styling of these two shoots especially the one on the left. Styling by Zoe James. The difference between the netting and underwear is very vintage and feminine. But with a masculine twist.

Both styling have a timeless and different era feel.

Black and White

Black and white photography is my absolute favourite. I have always been the person who only has black and white photos in different frames. But there is something so natural and lovely about the two colours. The picture above is one of my loves as it captures the sun and happiness.

It also reminds me of old Hollywood which is probably why I am so influenced by the speciality of the black and white photography.

Fairytale (Trend)

I love the remakes of these famous fairytale princesses.
Fairytale may possibly be one of the big trends of 2011 with having two Royal Weddings this year.

White Stuff has the fairytale theme part of their identity, with the website being based around this trend. It's an interactive website which I love, with their being games and quiz' to take part in. There is also the opportunity to win 5%, 7& or 10% off their online collection when you play the online 'Witch' game.

REISS

REISS on their website allow you to view their campaigns, with a chance to look at the behind the scenes images. What I really love about their campaign is they create videos to go along with the photography. This is something that might be used a lot in the future.

This image above has to be my favourite, the starlike sky is perfect for the black and white photography.

Audrey Hepburn and Funny Face (Love and Trend)

AND PINK'S FOR THE LADY WITH JOIE DE VIVE

With Audrey Hepburn being my ultimate style icon and loved every film she appeared in. I was very happy when I came across this photo-shoot in Vanity Fair. Instantly inspiring and transporting me to another time, the 50's. The film set in Paris, one of the most elegant and romantic cities in the world, fits with the sophisticated Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn has been the muse of many fashion collections, her style still influencing many people today. But recently she has popped up in many articles. For me in her role in Breakfast at Tiffany's she created the phenomenon that is the LBD.

Whitney Port (LOVE)

"FASHION IS LIKE ART, IT'S JUST ANOTHER FORM OF SELF-EXPRESSION"
Whitney Port

This Grazia shoot of Whitney Port is truly amazing, love the black and white photography by Susan Spiel. The edgy styling contrasting the elegance makes the shots timeless. I love Whitney's collection for A/W too.
